Arunachala Shiva paints an intimate picture of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi who is one of India’s most well-known Sages of the 20th century. The Film expresses the important aspects of Sri Ramana’s life and teachings in which he declares Self-enquiry (Who am I?) as the most direct path to Self-realisation. Fascinating original footage of Sri Ramana and the holy mountain Arunachala. Stories about his life take us behind the scenes to moments with his closest disciples. Modern and thought-provoking commentaries from David Godman, James Swartz and John David offer new and unexpected insights into his teachings and challenge entrenched ideas. A beautiful, fresh and profound homage to the spiritual greatness of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi.
